Good Guys Seattle: Organizing for Non-Organizers in the Era of Trump

hosted by Good Guys at the Barricades

Do you open the paper every morning with a sense of dread? Do you want to help the #resistance but aren’t sure how to do so most effectively? Do you want to figure out what to do in this moment other than donate, volunteer or march? Does the idea of getting more involved sound scary or overwhelming?

The Resistance needs everyone - but most people aren’t sure how to best contribute. Good Guys at the Barricades is a great, accessible, place to start. And we're in SEATTLE for ONE NIGHT ONLY!

Good Guys is a training about organizing for non-organizers. Our mission is to give individuals the tools they need to be as effective as possible in this political moment. No previous experience is necessary! We're invested in being as accessible as possible!

Learn how to choose a fight that feels the most important to you and to figure out how to leverage what you already have -- your skills, communities, workplace, and more. Build relationships across backgrounds and experience in refining your personal strategy for organizing. Get re-energized and re-focused on how you want to contribute.

Participant Caroline N. writes, “The training I received at Good Guys gave me the confidence I needed to get organized and to stay motivated...the biggest lesson was in asset mapping; learning how to identify where our resources and centers of power lie as individuals and as groups felt empowering and liberating.”

Participant Hannah E. writes, “In a moment of intense desperation, attending this training showed me how to gain my power back, helped me recognize my unique contributions to this moment, and plugged me into a community of people I would not have met otherwise.”
